Gen 2 Coming To Pokemon Go?! Here's Which Pokemon Candies To Save Up On!

It's official, new Pokemon are coming to Pokemon Go! Details of the additional new Pokemon will be announced on December 12th!

Many are expecting the next 100 Pokemon (or at least some of them) from Generation 2. This, supported by the findings of code being added to the game to support these Pokemon. But, we can't be certain! Code for Shiny Pokemon apparently has also been added and not all Pokemon from Gen 1 has been released yet either. There's still the legendary birds and Mew and Mewtwo... So we'll just have to wait and find out on the 12th!

But, in the meantime, in case Gen 2 Pokemon are coming real soon, here are the Pokemon that you'll want to save candy for, as they will have a new evolution in the game!

Slowpoke in Gen 2 can evolve into Slowking or Slowbro. Not sure if this will be added like an Eevee evolution, a random result, but, you'll need to save another Slowpoke and likely 50 candies.

Espeon and Umbreon:

Eevee gets two new evolution added to the three already from Generation 1.  Espeon and Umbreon are Sun and Moon themed - no idea yet if there will be a naming trick to make sure you get a certain evolution. Evolving into these two I guess will cost you the same as other Eevee evolution's - 25 candies each.

Seadra will evolve into Kingdra! This evolution likely will set you back 100 candies.

Chansey is hard enough to find already in Pokemon Go, and in Gen 2, Chansey will have a new evolution! Either 50 or 100 candies might be required to evolve Chansey into Blissey.

Those annoying bats that seem to be everywhere, will become a little more useful. Golbat will evolve into Crobat! 100 candies shouldn't be hard to gather for this one.

Not sure how this one will work, but in the games Gloom can evolve into either Vileplume or Bellossom. This may be a random result, however it'd be so nice to have an additional evolve button so you could choose which one you'll get. This evolution will likely set you back for 100 candies.

Like Gloom, Poliwhirl can evolve into either Poliwrath or Politoed. Best to save up at least 100 candies.

Onix is about to get more badass. Save up a likely 50 candies to get Steelix.

Scyther also gets a new badass design in Gen 2. Scizor, might cost around 50-100 candies.

And finally, another Pokemon that's almost impossible to find, Porygon, will have a evolution in Gen 2 - Porygon2! Hopefully this one won't cost more than 50 candies to evolve, but no-one can be certain at this stage.

That's the list of new evolution from Gen 1 Pokemon. But there are still many new Pokemon in Gen 2 that trainers should be getting excited for, like; Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Hoothoot, Togepi, Heracross, Donphan, Houndoom, new legendaries that won't be unlocked, and many many more...
