If you're searching for a screen recording program for the Mac, you may not realize that your computer already has one installed. You can easily screen record your OS X computer using QuickTime Player

QuickTime Player offers a screen record option that is okay. You don't have many options, but it works.

To screen record with QuickTime Player, all you need to do is:

1. Open the QuickTime Player program.

2. Now from the Menubar click, "File".

3. Then click, "New Screen Recording".

4. Press the down arrow for a few extra options. You can check on "Show Mouse Clicks", and you can connect to a microphone.

5. Press the record button when you're ready to start. Click the screen to start the recording of the whole screen, or drag across the screen to select a certain area to record only.

6. When you want to stop the recording, click the little stop button in the Mac's Menubar. The recorded file will then process and open.
