iOS 8 Tip: Check What's Using Up All Your iPhone or iPad's Battery Life

Another great feature that has come to iOS 8 is Battery Usage information - more so now, what apps and system services are using most of your battery life on your iPhone or iPad.

How To Access 'Battery Usage' on iPhone / iPad:

1. Opening Settings App.
2. Tap General.
3. Then tap Usage.
4. Then tap Battery Usage.

In Battery Usage you can now see; how long you have used the device for. Your device's standby time. And now, new feature - the Battery Usage for the last 24 hours. In the list will be, apps, phone signal , home and lock screen, settings, Siri, find my friends (if you have it installed), messages, ect...

Now remember, just because you battery usage information may say something like 'Safari used 30%', doesn't mean Safari is draining all your battery - it may mean that you are spending most of the time on Safari. If an app that you don't use often seems to be using a lot of battery - then there may be an issue.
