Apple keynote presentation from today's special media event announced some new exciting technology. Incase you haven't seen all the info already, here are notes of what went down and what Apple announced:

iPhone 6 / iPhone 6 Plus

Earlier today Apple announced the all new iPhone 6, and the iPhone 6 Plus.

The first design change is with the glass front, it now curves around to the side of the iPhone to meet seamlessly with the aluminum back. Or so they say.

The other change is that they have removed the glass panels on the Top and lower back of the phone, and have replaced it with “Antenna Bands”.

The iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus has what is called "Retina HD" display. it comes in a 4.7” and 5.5” displays. 1334x750, 326ppi. 1920x1080, 401ppi.

The iPhone 6 is only 6.9mm, and the iPhone 6 Plus is only 7.1mm.

With the iPhone 6 plus. Messages app has new horizontal two-up display. Weather shows more of your day. Stocks show in new horizontal view and Mail shows more. The Keyboard on iPhone 6 plus shows more keys including dedicated keys for cut, copy and paste. New horizontal home screen view with dock on right side. The Touch ID button and the whole display can also slide down to the lower half of the screen. (note this is not included on the iPhone 6).

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus comes with next generation A8 chip, 64-bit support. It uses a 20nm process. 25% faster CPU performance. 13% smaller chip thats 50% more energy efficient than the A7 chip.

The iPhone 6 will have up to 50 hours audio, 11 hours video, 11 hours wifi browsing and 10 hours LTE browsing. New M8 motion coprocessor can now estimate distance. It has a new advanced wireless specs, 150Mbps LTE. It supports 20 LTE bands, with 200 carriers around the world. "T-Mobile in US and EE in the UK, more will support over time."

I’ll start by saying the new camera in the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, has some much more in it, that it stands out… literary!

With it’s 8MP iSIght camera, has True Tone flash, 1.5 micron pixels, 2.2 aperture and all-new sensor.
Focus Pixels means the lens moves in and out, it can tell if an object is in or out of phase. it has better autofocus, next-generation tone mapping and noise reduction. Panorama mode has up to 43 megapixels.

Plus new gyroscope, image stabilization. However the optical image stabilization comes on the iPhone 6 Plus only.

The new iPhone 6 shoots video's at 1080p at 30fps or 60fps and slo-mo at 240fps.
The Time-lapse photo focus pixels do automatic focus when shooting video.
Front-facing FaceTime HD camera has improved face detect, single shot HDR photos, using one picture and not multiple. HDR are now in videos as well.

Apples new feature “Apple Pay” used by holding your thumb on Touch ID button. (or whatever finger you’ve set on your Touch ID) Apple Pay is built into every iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Using the NFC antenna built across the top of the phones. The Touch ID stores all the payment information encrypted and securely. So if your iPhone is lost or stolen, Find My iPhone can suspend all payments, because the cards number is never stored on the device - so there is no need to cancel credit cards. “The card number is never stored or shared.”  It will be easy to add new cards or use cards from iTunes, using the iSight camera to take picture of a physical credit cards.

Both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will come with iOS 8. They will has silicone cases, that will come in 6 colors, including Product Red. New leather cases are in 5 colors.

Introducing the “Apple Watch” This looks like a thick rectangular watch with a dial. It has interchangeable bands. It’s made of stainless steel, Aluminum, or 18K Gold. The Apple Watch will sense that you're raising your wrist and activates the screen.

Apple Watch comes with comprehensive health and fitness companions. Apple Watch features what they are calling "the digital crown.” A turn wheel to zoom in on the small screen. When going through a list, you can scroll and do all everything without blocking the screen.  If you're in an app, you press the crown and it will return to the home screen.

“Magnifying content on a small display is fundamentally important. Whole new interface specific to the challenges of a product this small."

And a polished case with stainless steel alloy.

Apple Watch Sport has an anodized aluminum case. And the “Apple Watch Edition” comes in 18K Gold. (iPhones are required for Apple Watch.)

It will also store workout history and shares the data with iPhone's Health app, and it can even control your Apple TV.

The Apple Watch requires the iPhone because it's been designed to seamlessly work together with Handoff.

Oh, and one more thing… Apple Pay works with Apple Watch!

Apple Watch works with iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, also works with 5s, 5c and 5.
